Ingredients for the Syrup

2 cups Water
1 cup Sugar
6 Cardamom seeds

Directions

  1. Boil all of these together until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Simmer it on low heat.

Ingredients for the Balls

1 cup Powdered milk
1 tsp Baking powder
2 tbsp Heavy whipping cream
2 tbsp Oil
2 tbsp Semolina (Sooji) or cream of wheat
2 tbsp Self-rising flour
1 Egg

Directions

  1. Mix all these ingredients in a bowl until it forms a ball shape dough; not too hard nor too soft.
  2. Heat 2 cups oil on low.
  3. Make cherry size balls. It will get larger after done.
  4. Now put balls in oil. Let the balls puff up a bit and turn golden. Remove balls and place into syrup pan.
  5. Try not to move the pan with the syrup too much otherwise the shape of the balls will be all different.
  6. Then pour the syrup and all the balls into a serving tray or storage bowl and let them cool down.
